This eye shadow is by far my favourite eye shadow to date. From the texture to the pigmentation to the colours to the waterproof formula. For me, this gem scores an A+ on all the criteria. The colour I use is #15 – Copper Black . You can see it swatched below.
Upon first application the golden-copper colour is predominant and after blending it out the black pigment kind of intensifies the colour. You can blend it or leave it or combine the two tones ( blended and non-blended). It has the texture of a cream eye shadow and upon touching it once applied, it feels like a powder. It lasts all night(or day) without any creasing and without losing intensity. Apparently you can apply it using a wet brush, too. I haven’t tried it yet though as I don’t find it necessary. I find it intense enough and it’s easily buildable if you’re really going for a dramatic effect.
It costs $34 or £27. Sephora, Selfridges, Nordstorm,… Most beauty department stores will stock it. I think I’ll get it in Gold Blitz(#5) and Champagne(#8) next. I’ve also been eyeing Armani’s Eyetint , I really like how convenient it seems though I don’t know if I’ll get it… I think you get more for your money with the Silk Eye Shadow.
I’m sure there must be some cheaper versions of this product but I tend to have a hard time finding interesting shades that also give a bit of dimension and apply so easily + last for as long as needed.
Have any of you tried this? If so, what did you think? Have a great week !!
