I’ve been using sheet masks ever since I’ve gotten to know about Asian – predominantly Korean & Japanese – skincare. On a trip to Hong Kong and China a few years ago , I literally bought every sheet mask I could find at the mall’s drugstore near my hotel. I loved them – masks with platinum , gold , silver , snail slime , fruit , enzymes , pearl, etc. You name it ! Some of them work , some of them don’t but I had fun trying them either way. When I saw that Sephora launched their own sheet masks, I had to try them. My favourite so far ? Sephora Pearl Face Mask.
It’s simple – you apply the sheet mask to your face and fold it where needed. Leave it on for 20 min or so and observe the result. It left my skin dewy and moisturised ( like – deeply moisturised ) but also instantly brightened my skin and made it look less dull. I tend to use it after long days or long haul flights , it gives that boost skin craves for . Is this going to perfect your skin or brighten your skin for good ? No. It will however temporarily – 1 night and 1 morning in my case – moisturise your skin and make dull & tired skin look plump, dewy & refreshed whilst giving a subtle brightening effect. It’s quick ,fun + easy to use and won’t burn a hole in your pocket.
If you are interested in some more effective sheet masks , then I’d recommend Karuna’s sheet masks ( available at Sephora ) or pay a trip to a korean drugstore ( also available online ) for more ( exotic ) options.
How about you ? Did you try Sephora’s sheet masks ? How about Korean beauty products ? Have an amazing week !
